A major "big box" retail store is starting to attach electronic tags to clothing items. These RFID tags work by reflecting a radio signal to identify the product and can be read automatically by a scanner a considerable distance from the product.
Some people fear these tags as anyone with a scanner could track people wearing the clothes after they leave the store. Also, what would happen if the person who purchased the clothing reentered the store at a later date?
